Gallstones form when there is too much cholesterol in the bile and can cause pain due to blockage of movement of bile from gallbladder.
Types of gall stones
- Cholesterol – most common type that are composed of undissolved cholesterol that are yellow in color
- Pigment – made up of excessive bilirubin that are dark brown or black in color
Gallstones most commonly found in:
- Diabetics
- Pregnant women
- Women over 40
- Obese people
Prevention and Treatment:
- Anti-inflammatory diet
- Regular exercise
- Maintain healthy weight
- Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day
- Add fiber to healthy diet
