Medical Conditions

The illness and death of my parents to cancer and dementia in my late 30’s, maintaining a high pressure, high performing job and raising a family was incredibly overwhelming. At the time I tried to just fight through it (addressing the symptoms, not the identifying the source) but what I did not realize was that my body was starting to shut down. My health continued to decline and I was losing years off my life…

I turned things around by looking for the source. I changed my mindset. When the mind is not right the body cannot get right. I had to make my well-being a priority. I started reading on my different conditions, seeing how they were connected (in my case some of my other medical issues manifested from CCI  and VSC ) and approaching them one by one with physician support. I led the charge to my wellness and finally there was light at the end of a very dark tunnel!

Diabetic Neuropathy is a type of nerve damage that can occur if you have diabetes. High blood sugar (glucose) can injure nerves throughout your body and unfortunately nerve damage cannot be reversed.

Chronic Kidney Disease is a condition characterized by a gradual loss of kidney function over time.

Diabetic Retinopathy is caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, the retina.

Gout is an inflammatory type of arthritis that causes sudden and severe joint pain that normally starts in the top of the foot. This disease more commonly affects men. The term “bilateral” means arthritis affects both left and right sides of the body.

Kidney stones are clumps of waste that build up in your kidneys when there is not significant amounts of fluid in your blood to flush the waste out of our system.

Gallstones form when there is too much cholesterol in the bile and can cause pain due to blockage of movement of bile from gallbladder.

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a common condition in which the long-term force of the blood against your artery walls is high enough that it may eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.

Osteoarthritis is a disease of the joint and is the most common type of arthritis.

Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is a type of arthritis that affects tendons and ligaments, mainly around your spine. These bands of tissue can become hardened (calcified) and form growths called bone spurs where they connect to your bones.

Diabetes type 2 is a chronic condition that affects the way your body metabolizes sugar (glucose) — an important source of fuel for your body.
