Gallstones form when there is too much cholesterol in the bile and can cause pain due to blockage of movement of bile from gallbladder.

Types of gall stones

  1. Cholesterol – most common type that are composed of undissolved cholesterol that are yellow in color
  2. Pigment – made up of excessive bilirubin that are dark brown or black in color

Gallstones most commonly found in:

  1. Diabetics
  2. Pregnant women
  3. Women over 40
  4. Obese people

Prevention and Treatment:

  • Anti-inflammatory diet
  • Regular exercise
  • Maintain healthy weight
  • Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day
  • Add fiber to healthy diet
